Indiana Basketball Takes Interactive Ride

Downstream design and XOS Digital have provided ONE UP services for Indiana University’s (IU) new basketball facility, Cook Hall, inclusive of interactive design elements and comprehensive facility technologies. Downstream strives to provide sports organizations with a “holistic,” branded and story-driven approach for facility renovations and new construction. Downstream developed the Legacy Court’s environmental and interactive elements, which included thematic and story development, graphic design, video content creation, user interface development and interactive media. In conjunction, XOS integrated the operational technologies behind these elements, such as the consolidated equipment center that enables IU video staff to control program scheduling, volume, power supply and system modifications to all three interactive displays simultaneously.

“We worked with IU’s staff, photographers and its historians to capture the heralded history of Indiana Basketball, and integrated the story and content into a beautiful architectural environment designed by Populous,” said Tim Canfield, CEO, Downstream.

“Our new Cook Hall basketball facility leads the nation in advanced digital technologies,” said IU Athletics Director Fred Glass. “We have a storied history that we’re proud to showcase and share through our new cutting-edge interactive design. Also, we’re confident that our fans can appreciate the team spirit and pride that these new additions foster.”

Back-to-back College World Series champs rebrand Goss Stadium at Coleman Field

ONE UP recently collaborated with Oregon State University to update and rebrand Goss Stadium at Coleman Field, the launching spot for the school’s back-to-back College World Series championships. This legendary facility is now a branded environment designed to celebrate the program’s success and to inspire OSU’s next trip to Omaha.


ONE UP studied OSU’s brand and goals and developed a custom graphic treatment that applies a consistent look and feel throughout the facility. The main entrance to Goss Stadium has been updated with large, beautiful wall graphics and banners. The Hall of Fame displays OSU’s 2006 and 2007 World Series trophies alongside photos of the event, along with a digital interactive display featuring images, stats, and video highlights from the winning seasons.


Graphics in the staircase tell the story of OSU’s trips to Omaha, recounting great achievements by past players. Upstairs, in the Omaha Room, donors and VIPs watching the game are surrounded by the iconography of the highest achievement in collegiate baseball. ONE UP also created motivational elements for several athlete-facing areas, including the Academic Room and the Player’s Lounge.


The new Goss Stadium at Coleman Field is a place to excite fans and donors and to inspire players to push harder to live up to the OSU legacy.

Race World USA: A World-Class NASCAR Experience

ONE UP worked with Michael Waltrip Racing to create Race World USA as part of their new state of the art 140,000 square foot NASCAR Cup & Nationwide garage. 

 

Michael’s vision was to give fans unprecedented behind the scenes access to this newly launched multi-car team. ONE UP created an interpretive experience that allows fans to learn the intricacies of fielding the world’s fastest stock cars from week to week.  

 

Every touch point the fans have throughout this facility is an opportunity to learn more!

 

Branded grand entry lobby with driver’s displays, large projection screen, graphics, videos and beautiful lighting that highlights Michael Waltrip Racing’s drivers and sponsors while providing them with video biographies of each driver. The entire fan experience technology system was designed and integrated by the ONE UP team.

University of Florida: Two Winning Programs Get a New Face

The basketball training facility features inspirational graphics and displays that tell the amazing story of Florida's back to back national championships.

 

The lobby of football administrative office building at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is a state-of-the-art exhibit space that impresses everyone who comes through: fan, athlete, and recruit alike. This is a place that makes kids want to grow up to be Gators. The Gator Room is a fully branded environment used for team meetings and meals.
